Better Speech Now is a private speech practice founded by Yvonne Hall, M.S., CCC-SLP, C-PESL. Mrs. Hall earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Sam Houston State University and a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Texas Woman’s University.
She has acquired over 35 years of experience in assessing, diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders in both children and adults. Mrs. Hall holds the esteemed Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, which confers her attainment of rigorous academic and professional standards and further acknowledges her skills and expertise to provide high-quality clinical and professional services.
Mrs. Hall has also received special certification and training from the Institute of Language and Phonology to teach the Compton Pronouncing English as a Second Language (P-ESL) Program for Accent Modification.
She embraces a passion for helping non-native speakers of English that reaches back over 40 years. As an undergraduate completing her clinical practicum Mrs. Hall facilitated accent modification classes for students who spoke English as a second or third language. Today her focused experience continues to provide specialized action plans for individuals who speak English as an additional language as well as native English speakers who wish to modify their regional accents.
